Joe Litvag

Joe Litvag currently serves as the president of live events for Los Angeles-based DWP. His responsibilities include the oversight of the company’s growing presence in the live event space along with overall daily company operations. DWP’s significant portfolio of business under Mr. Litvag’s purview features the renowned music festivals Aftershock Festival (Sacramento CA), Welcome to Rockville (Daytona Beach FL), Sonic Temple (Columbus OH), Epicenter (Charlotte NC) and a trifecta of festivals in Louisville KY, Louder Than Life, Bourbon & Beyond and Hometown Rising.

In addition, Mr. Litvag steers DWP’s expansion into new sectors of live entertainment such as national tour promotion and production; venue booking and operations; concert and festival services; and special destination events. He also oversees a fast-growing internal team of seasoned specialists in key departments such as talent booking, marketing, operations, sponsorship, ticketing and production.

Prior to his role at DWP, Mr. Litvag served as president at New York-based Blackbird Presents, a specialised production house focused on producing celebratory live events for industry legends such as BB King, The Band featuring Robbie Robertson, and The Outlaw Music Tour featuring Willie Nelson.

Before Blackbird Presents, he spent more than 15 years in Saint Louis MO as senior vice president at AEG Presents. There, Mr. Litvag was responsible for many venue acquisitions and ongoing operations including The Royal Oak Music Theatre (Detroit MI), The Arvest Bank Theatre @ The Midland (Kansas City MO) and The Agora Theater & Ballroom (Cleveland OH).

He also created, developed and served as executive producer of many incredibly successful rock festivals such as Rock on the Range (Columbus OH), Carolina Rebellion (Charlotte NC) and Mo Pop Music & Arts Festival (Detroit MI), among many others. At AEG Presents, Mr. Litvag promoted and produced thousands of concerts for hundreds of artists, including some of entertainment’s most legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Metallica, Tool, AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Tony Bennett, just to name a few.

Mr. Litvag began his career in Saint Louis MO in 1993 at Contemporary Productions, where he worked his way through the independent promoter ranks to become vice president of concerts within eight years, producing and promoting concerts from clubs to amphitheaters and arenas.

Upon the sale of the company to SFX Entertainment and eventually Clear Channel Entertainment (now Live Nation Entertainment), he became the leader of the St. Louis office before celebrating his ten-year anniversary with the company.

In his spare time, Mr. Litvag runs his own artist management company Just Listen Management, where he currently guides the career of recording artists and St. Louis natives, Cavo.

Mr. Litvag earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas where he majored in Business Communication. He currently resides in St. Louis with his wife and two sons. He enjoys playing ice hockey, and he is actively involved in local and national fundraising efforts for Autism Speaks.
