Hannah Shogbola

Hannah is currently a senior agent at Echo Location Talent; representing a wide array of live and DJ artists worldwide.

She began her career working at a music studio ‘DatSound’ for emerging UK hip-hop acts such as Klashnekoff & Exchalibah and worked in the industry for over ten years.

Moving into broadcasting for BBC London saw Hannah produce and assist on a wide selection of radio shows from Vanessa Feltz to Robert Elms.

Soon her love for electronic music saw her work within the booking team at Fabric, then onto WME – one of the world’s largest booking agencies. There she worked with Nick Cave assisting across a wide array of artists including Paul Kalkbrenner to MIA, to Trenmoller & Maya Jane Coles.

Following WME, she was headhunted by Obi Asika to start working for Echo Location Talent, heading up her own roster as well as becoming a crucial apart of the events team; working on the likes of: Afro Nation Portugal, Ghana & Puerto Rico.

Hannah represents over twenty artists from Hannah Wants, Kurupt FM, My Nu Leng, Emerald, Redlight & many more.

She is one of the very few Black female agents in the UK, and is one of the only under-30s to sell-out Brixton Academy, Roundhouse and The forum with her clients Kurupt in 2016.

A motivational speaker, Hannah has worked on panels and boards from talks at The Royal Albert Hall to The Roundhouse as well as working with The British Council and festival curation at the Southbank in London. Her work has been at the forefront of helping up-and-coming artists as well as ensuring work environments are diverse, well balanced and equal.

Whilst 2020 saw the world face many challenges, especially those within the live music sector, Hannah used her abundance of experience and a desire to make a difference with her brainchild DAJU – a new creative consultancy, which has seen her work with various companies programming events and diversifying offices. From British Underground to Afro Punk to SXSW she already has some incredible projects underway.
