Chris Woodford

Chris is a health & safety and event crowd management consultant specialising in the events sector.  Chris has considerable experience in providing safety advice on the technical and project management side of production and site management in a wide range of work and entertainment environments.

Before specialising in health & safety, his previous employment as an event manager and live music and broadcast production specialist, combined with his event-related safety experience enables him to take a wide-ranging approach to event safety and event project management.

Key Experience

Chris has also advised, designed and written in-house policies for many types of event-related institutions, including local crew, performance associations, theatres, production & event companies, agencies, cinemas, theatres, venues, and clubs.

Project Experience

Chris has undertaken pre-project planning; produced risk assessments, accessibility plans and designs, event safety and emergency procedures; designed and drawn up event sites; specified material and equipment requirements; specified installation and breakdown schedules; and acted as an event safety manager, production manager and crowd management/security planner for many clients.

Chris has also undertaken work as a lecturer at the City of London University, the University of Central London, and the Birmingham & Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), lecturing in event risk management at diploma level, for potential new event managers of the future.
