Wednesday Evening at ILMC

On Wednesday night, a number of ILMC mainstays will take place, shamelessly unperturbed by the pandemic’s attempt to prevent them.

At 19:00, all delegates are invited to The ‘Escape From Reality’ Quiz of the Year – with players going head to head in a truly epic battle of music biz brains. Expect questions on both the industry and the people in it, as well as general knowledge tests and assorted pop-culture ephemera.

Following the quiz, and after the evening’s showcases have kicked off, The ‘Battle Royale’ Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tourney takes place in a private online casino in the heart of hyperspace.

While the entry fee is being waived for this online-only outing, the tourney will continue to raise money for the Nikos Fund, which this year is raising funds for Stagehand, the Covid-19 crew relief fund operated by the Production Services Association (PSA).

With multiple tournament tables, as well as side competitions for anyone unlucky enough to go out early, it’s set to be another nail biter. Especially as there are prizes on offer for the top three players…
